Endometriosis is present in 10%-20% of women. Laparoscopy is performed to diagnosis and treat this condition.

 

Fibroids (leiomyoma) are benign lumps of muscle found in the uterus and can occur in up to 40% of women.

 
Ovarian cysts occur frequently and in most cases will disappear without treatment.
 
Adhesions or scaring in the pelvis results from either; infection (PID), inflammation (endometriosis) or as a result surgery.
 

Persisting irregular bleeding is not normal and should be investigated.

 

Heavy Periods (Menorrhagia) that result in interference with your quality of life may require investigation and there are a number of treatment options available.
